Company cars – advisory fuel rates from 1 June 2019

04 Jun 2019

HM Revenue & Customs has published the advisory fuel rates that apply from 1 June 2019. These are the rates employers can use to reimburse employees who pay to put fuel in their company cars when using them for business.

All the rates have gone up, in most cases by 1p per mile, except the rate for diesel cars of 1600cc or less, which has stayed the same.

Hybrid cars are treated as either petrol or diesel cars for this purpose.

The advisory electricity rate for fully electric cars is 4p per mile. Electricity is not a fuel for car fuel benefit purposes.
